In 1982, Robert Justice, PA-C, began serving the community of Merced providing care to patients as well as teaching at the UC Davis Residency Program. Bob cared for his patients until 2015 when he felt the Lord calling him to Prescott, Arizona. Bob and Beverly moved to Prescott to serve a new community, but always felt the tug of their home in Merced where they had established a life together. In November of 2019, they returned to Merced. Everything about the move had Gods hand on it. He settled back in well and was reestablishing his practice, with many of his previous patients coming back to see him. On the evening of December 6th, Bob was walking his dog and took a serious fall. He ultimately ended up at Stanford University Hospital with severe neck injuries causing quadriplegia. Bob has been moved to an intensive Rehab facility in Santa Clara, where he will remain for approximately 4 more weeks before returning home. Because he has not been practicing back in California for 18 consecutive months, he does not qualify for Disability. Bob and Bev picked up everything to come home and serve the community they love. Many people have come forward to help Bob in his home as he starts his long road to recovery. The hope is that he will get to a point where he can be back in the office serving his patients. That could be as long as 9-12 months away. In the interim, we are asking Bob’s beloved community for their help. His home will need to be retrofitted and he will need to purchase a vehicle that will accommodate his wheelchair as well. Bob and Beverly have been good stewards of their money, but there are monthly expenses that they will need help covering during his recovery. We are hoping that his family will come together to raise enough money that Beverly will not have to return to work during this time. Please consider giving what you can to help during their time of need.
