Nina Moore Medical Expenses

Let me tell you a about Nina. She was a Mom of four daughters ( As pictured L to R, Lorna, Nicole Gandy, Mom, Nan, Lisa) and was a loving wife. She was a strong, beautiful, intelligent woman who fought a pain filled disease.

Nina was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. This also resulted in a disease called Paraneoplastic Syndrome, which is a neurological disease, caused by antibodies directed against tumors that cross-react with other tissue. This syndrome is very rare and often misdiagnosed. This affects less than 1/10,000 patients with cancer.

So, Nina had to fight the breast cancer and the PNP which was extremely tough and expensive. She fought the fight for over a year undergoing chemo and various treatments. Family members were a great help during this time, and of course we have God on our side, and many prayers had been offered. Nina passed away on Wednesday June 20th.

But now we are asking all of those who are reading this to help her husband deal with some of the financial burden. We are thankful for what the insurance covered, but unfortunately, there is still a large amount that is owed.

Please encourage all family members to do self-exams at home. A few min can save your life. If you notice anything don't be afraid to go to the doctor. Get that mammogram done, the sooner the better.
