Title: “From Kingston to Our Communities — Together We Rise After the Storm”
My heart aches for my beautiful Jamaica. I’m from Kingston, where the hurricane caused serious damage — fallen trees, flooded streets, and power outages everywhere. But the hardest-hit areas include St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, Mandeville, Santa Cruz, Middle Quarters, Holland Bamboo, Hanover, and St. James, where homes and buildings have been severely damaged or completely destroyed. Families are left in shock, struggling to find food, water, and shelter.
I started this fundraiser because these communities need us — not tomorrow, but now. Even in the middle of this tragedy, the spirit of our people shines. Jamaicans are strong, proud, and resilient, but we cannot rebuild alone.
Our goal is $10,000.00 , which will go directly toward:
• Emergency food, clean water, and clothing for families in crisis.
• Temporary shelter for those left homeless.
• Building supplies to help rebuild homes and community spaces.
I’ve included real photos showing the destruction — not to shock, but to remind us that these are our neighbors, mothers, fathers, and children.
I’ll be using social media — Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp — to share updates, but I need your help to reach beyond that. Please share this fundraiser in your church groups, workplaces, and community networks.
When you share, please be specific about how your support can help families in the hardest-hit areas.
Jamaica will rise again — from Kingston to St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland , Mandeville, Santa Cruz, Middle Quarters, Holland Bamboo, Hanover, and St. James. Our love, unity, and faith will rebuild what this storm has torn down.
Please donate, share, and stand with us. Together, we can bring hope back to our island.
Regards,
Veronica
