Hello All,
The Rho Iota Chapter of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity will be hosting its second annual Comedy Show Fundraiser to support the Children's Miracle Network.
For those of you who don't know, the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. ... Its various fundraising partners and programs support the nonprofit's mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Our branch of the CMN gives its money directly to Hasbro Children's hospital in Providence, RI. So the money raised by our chapter goes directly back into the community.
This year we wanted to make sure Get on The Ball (GoTB) is a raging success so we reached out to Funny4Funds, a comedy group that specializes in putting on comedy show for charity. Together with Funny4Funds we set up a comedy show that will take place on December 6th at 7PM at the CBLS building at URI. We know the show is going to be a success, and we realize that some people may not get seats, or be able to make it to the show, but we know many of you still want to help. So we wanted to create this page to help raise some extra money for the CMN.
Helping children in our community is extremely important to the brothers of ZBT, and we wish to share that passion with everyone around us, and we know there are few things worse than being stuck in a hospital during the holidays. So aside from raising money through the show, we will be also hosting events during the week that will focus on making cards and banners for the kids in the hospital.
With the show coming up in a few weeks we would be beyond happy and grateful to receive any donations to the cause. We are hoping to raise as much money possible before December 10th.
Again any donation would not only mean the world to us, but it could help brighten the days of some wonderful kids.
It is also important, for the purposes of our roster that you include a comment of who you are donating for, as we require every brother to reach a certain quota. So when you donate put your name, then in parenthesis the ZBT brother who you are donating on behalf of.
