Donate to help Hospice Egmond in the Netherlands

This fundraiser is set up on behalf of my Dad, Theo Bakker, who has just had a sudden diagnosis of terminal lung cancer, which had spread to his brain. Unfortunately he has not long left to live and is currently in the care of Hospice Egmond in the Netherlands.

Due to a physical disability he is not able to enjoy his last days at home. Luckily we found this amazing hospice in Egmond where he's able to enjoy his last days in comfort, without worry and surrounded by the beauty of the Dutch coast.

Theo would like to raise as much as possible for the hospice as a thank you to this incredible place which is run by over 70 volunteers and professional care staff.

It's a small hospice, aimed to provide a friendly, warm and homely feel for those who aren't able to enjoy their final days in their own home. It's a home from home, with 24 hour on call professional care.

Personally I'm incredibly grateful for the care and support the hospice is giving my father and any donation, no matter how small, will go directly to the hospice, which in turn will help other families like ours going through this devastating time.

Deze inzamelingsactie is opgezet namens mijn vader, Theo Bakker, die niet zo lang geleden een plotselinge diagnose heeft gekregen van terminale longkanker met uitzaaiingen in zijn hersenen. Helaas heeft hij niet lang meer te leven en wordt hij momenteel verzorgd door Hospice Egmond in Nederland.

Door een lichamelijke beperking kan hij niet thuis van zijn laatste dagen genieten. Gelukkig hebben wij dit geweldige hospice in Egmond gevonden waar hij comfortabel, onbezorgd en omringd door de schoonheid van de Nederlandse kust van zijn laatste dagen kan genieten.

Theo wil graag zoveel mogelijk inzamelen voor het hospice als dank voor deze geweldige plek die wordt gerund door meer dan 70 vrijwilligers en professionele zorgmedewerkers.

Het is een klein hospice, bedoeld om een vriendelijke, warme en huiselijke sfeer te bieden aan degenen die niet kunnen genieten van hun laatste dagen in hun eigen huis. Het is een thuis van huis, met 24 uur per dag professionele zorg.

Persoonlijk ben ik ongelooflijk dankbaar voor de zorg en steun die het hospice mijn vader geeft en elke donatie, hoe klein ook, gaat rechtstreeks naar het hospice, wat op zijn beurt andere families zoals de onze zal helpen om door deze moeilijke tijd heen te komen.
