T needs your help

Hi,

I'm Teresa's friend, Mimi ... and am concerned about her (yeah, I know she looks chipper in the picture -- and she's going to kill me for posting that one, oops.) She's in a hospital in Israel, after taking what was to be a much needed holiday in the sunshine. Her hip just gave out, gave up, failed her, unexpectedly. She's been in a holding pattern waiting to either get a hip replacement there, or to be shipped home and wait for NHS to replace it. Her travel insurance is moving slowly, but that will, get sorted out.

The problem is that after this last year (taking time off to care for Mitt and all that sadness) she is on half-pay with leave from her job, and that isn't going to keep her afloat. It may take her many months to get back to 100% (or in her case 110% as she's that kind of person).

She was very reluctant to let me ask for help, but she needs it. She is very concerned about the possibility of many months before she can return to work. And, if it turns out she needs to "go private" to get the hip replacement faster (no clue how the UK health stuff works) she really doesn't have the reserves.

Its all very precarious right now. She needs to focus on healing, not stressing about finances. So, if you could help... that would be wonderful.
