When her boyfriend shows up unannounced at her Galentine's Day party, a college girl is forced to confront a concealed part of herself as she tries to prevent him and the world from finding out she is in love with her best friend.
At its core, Bliss is a story about self-acceptance. It depicts the intensity and struggle of coming to terms with a part of yourself that is different. Bliss follows Ruby, a college student, who is terrified of accepting and sharing that she is a queer woman-- despite being in love with her best friend, Olivia. Bliss is a representation of queer love. An authentic story that shares the beauty, the passion, and the turmoil of young love.
Bliss is the kind of film that I wish I could have seen while I was coming to terms with my sexuality years ago. As a filmmaker with a core purpose of telling stories that allow audiences to feel seen and heard, I am eager to bring Ruby and Olivia's story to life.
Love,
