My name is Angela. I am the proud grandmother of these little angels, Zayden and Zion. My son's girlfriend went into premature labor on 9/22/2025 at 27 weeks. Zayden was on a CPAP machine and Zion had a breathing tube. Zion has two birth defects. One is his right eye, and the second is a cleft lip and palate. They have already had a consultation with plastic surgery at Duke University Hospital. The babies are improving but have a long journey still to come.

Their mother just started a new job two months before the babies were born and is out of work without pay for three months. Due to her having an emergency C-section and not being able to be home alone yet, my son has not been able to work either. They are asking for assistance with bills such as rent, utilities, and food to help them through these next few months, as well as any medical bills they have and will accrue. Any amount is truly appreciated.
