On 3/2/21,the best guy in the world and his family found out they are fighting a battle bigger than we can imagine. Anyone that has ever met Chad and Abby can’t help but fall in love with them. To say they are the best is an understatement. An amazing couple, loving parents, truly genuinely awesome humans. We know people want to help and wanted to start this go fund me as a way to show our love and support. Below is the message from The Man himself :
I originally did not want to do this because it's not the person I am, but I think that it is something people should know, especially my friends and family on here that I have not reached out to yet.
Recently I have not felt like myself and had a bunch of tests done to rule out of course covid, and see if they can find out what's going on with me... Well they did...
Some abnormalities came back on my blood work which in return my Dr wanted me to get admitted to the hospital a.s.a.p. After a few more tests and deeper investigation they have diagnosed me with Acute Myeloid Leukemia..
I started chemotherapy today(3/5/21) and will be continuing it for a week to try and stop everything going on in my blood, transfusions for the week or 2 after and monitoring and biopsies after that to determine the next step. I'm told if all goes as planned monitoring with possibilities of needing a bone marrow transplant after that.
So there it is, Abby and my family are being so supportive which I wouldn't see them being any other way, everyone who surrounds us, the same. I will be strong, I will fight and I will come out of this a better person. Just felt that it is something that needed to be shared, so people know what is going on.
