To give you the history of Xzavion's journey.

“Zavi” we affectionately call him is very kind, strong-minded, selfless and an amazing young man, Zavi and his twin were born prematurely at six months, they are now 15 years old. Zavi was diagnosed shortly after birth with Necrotizing Enterocolitis which caused his family to make a life-changing decision for him leading to getting a stoma. Which changed his life from that day forth with surgery after surgery, immense agony and discomfort. Which has affected him both physically and mentally.

What is a Stoma?

A stoma is an opening in the front of your abdomen. It allows stool to be collected in a pouch on the outside of the body.

Over time Zavi has developed what is called a "prolapsed stoma".

What is a prolapsed Stoma?

A prolapsed stoma is when the stoma suddenly becomes longer than normal. It may have the appearance of protruding further from the body than it should. 

As his family, we would go to all lengths to help provide a normal life for Zavi hence us coming up with ways to raise funds to aid his medical procedure to correct his stoma.

In 2019 shortly after Dorian destroyed The Bahamas, Zavi was rushed to Fort Lauderdale to Joe Dimaggio Children's hospital for treatment, during that time doctors explained his condition was very bad, one being his bowels were blocked so badly, he had two procedures done to correct this problem. Zavi spent three long months in the hospital recovering. Even though he had these done, it still didn't correct the big problem Zavi is facing. He was then released with an appointment to return to have his final procedure done. When returned to Freeport his father was informed that his insurance had met the maximum for Xzavion, and they will no longer cover this expense. We are unable to bear such huge expenses.
