If you are living in Sonoma County, you may have heard about those horrible house fires in Rohnert Park this week. $800,000 dollars worth of damage to two homes. One destroyed and the other partially destroyed. Red tagged. Uninhabitable. The owners of which are two of our best friends, Jose and Linda Zavala Amador. This is truly one of the All Time Great families. We met years ago because our daughters went to the same speech therapist. We navigated the early days of our daughters' diagnoses together. Linda was my rock. They are first time home owners. Jose worked super long hours while Linda took care of the kids, the schools, the therapies, the everything. They saved for years, and they bought their home on Emily Ave in Rohnert Park about seven months ago........and then five days ago Tuesday June 15th it burned down in a freak accident while they were in Oakland taking their kids to the zoo. I'm not kidding. What are the chances?? It wasn't even their freak accident. The fire occurred at their neighbor's house and jumped over theirs. Come on. This isn't supposed to happen to such exceptionally good people.
