Saving Stella

Donation protected

This is Stella. Stella is a 7-month-old German Shepherd that loves life and making people happy. The story behind Stella is a long one, but I am here to explain everything from the beginning.

About a year ago, my dog Samantha, who was a German Shepherd mutt, recently passed away after 13 long years of a loving and happy life. My family and I had an extremely hard time dealing with this as Samantha was so close in our hearts. I grew up with Samantha and she helped me with every life problem that I went through. This broke my father into pieces, which then broke me into pieces seeing him like this. I comforted him but tried to convince him to get another dog because that's what Samantha would want in the first place. Is for myself and my family to give another dog a loving and forever home. After about 5-6 months of convincing, my parents finally had the strength and heart to start looking for another dog. They ended finding Stella and from the first glance, she stole our hearts.

When Stella first arrived she was the typical puppy anyone would think of. She was full of energy, loved to play, and of course very rebellious at times. She gave so much light, hope, and strength to our family, especially my father. We started to see happier and brighter days with our newest member of the family ahead of us. She gave so much joy and happiness to everyone that she encountered.

A couple of weeks ago my father and I noticed that she was having trouble walking and running around our yard. My father was very concerned with what was going on with her and he hoped and prayed that nothing really bad was happening to her. We slowly started to see her decline as she was getting in more and more pain and we didn't know why. A few days ago (October 26th) my father was taking Stella on a walk in the park and he heard this pop sound come from her and she hit the ground. She wasn't able to walk. My father panicked and took her immediately to the vet to see what was going on.

The vet informed us that Stella will need a double hip replacement as she has one of the worst cases of hip dysplasia that the vet has ever seen in his career for a dog that age. My father was broken... Everything hit him at once and was completely blindsided by this event...

Stella is a one-of-a-kind dog that deserves a chance at life. A dog this young should NEVER have to have a double hip replacement. Any and all help is appreciated. If you cannot donate, please do not worry, sharing on social media, with friends and family are the most that we are asking for. Any amount can help to Save Stella's Life so she can continue giving joy, happiness, and hope to everyone that she encounters.

If you want updates with this story with #SavingStella, my social media is linked down below for anyone who is interested. I will be updated the journey as we get closer to our goal.

I want to thank anyone who has either shared or donated to this fund. Any extra funds will be donated to a local shelter or charity that will help with any and all types of care with animals.
