Zara's Service Learning Trip

After serving as a Paramedic for 11 years in Fresno, I am staring a new adventure in Nursing.  I have an amazing opportunity to start my first nursing adventure abroad with 20 other amazing students in the village of Naboutini Fiji.  We will be integrated into their rural community, culture, get involved with their community associations and infrastructures, and serve their community there for 2 weeks as part of our service learning experience.   I will be able to gain insight into the everyday life, their health care system, help them in their hospitals and clinics, and can teach as part of our service learning project.  I believe this will make me be a better nurse in public health by learning about other cultures, and ways of living outside of my own.  Please help me reach my goal and to start my new adventure.
