Hi everyone
We are Zara & Lucy from Ballymena.
We are running The Belfast City Half Marathon on 22nd September 2024.

This is something we have never in our lives done before , and you’re asking yourselves why?
We met Donna , The founder and CEO of the charity and her amazing team of girls nearly 2yrs ago when they started Buddy Day at The Sports Hut , you ask , what’s Buddy day , Mark,s Charity is based on supporting children/teenagers living with all types of chronic illnesses/disabilities , no cure, supporting these kids their familles and helping them with so much care and support.
Donna and the manager Jennifer from sports hut came together and came up with the idea of Buddy Day , where teenagers from our school (Academy) Ballymena come together and be a buddy to these children, we have met some amazing great kids, along the way, we play , round around with them , roll with them, jump around, sit a have a wee chin wag , and learn all about their illnesses, even have our tea with them , Buddy Day is a fantastic place for these kids and it helps us learn about all the different illnesses and how these amazing kids cope with it
So Zara and myself decided to help Mark,s charity , keep Buddy day running , these kids bring so much love and happiness to us all and to see their faces at their Christmas party, other event parties they do with us is totally priceless
So we are training hard , I know people think aww only 13miles, but we are not and I mean not runners but we will give it 100%
So we ask you to sponsor us please and wish us luck
