Zane Axibal

The entire Axibal family is requesting your prayers and support for Zane, our beloved 5-year-old son/brother/grandson/nephew/cousin, who is critically ill and on life support in the pediatric ICU at the University of Chicago. Zane has influenza A, RSV, and pneumonia with secondary septic shock and multi-organ failure. He is on a ventilator and receiving ECMO (i.e. a blood oxygenation machine) to bypass his lungs and heart, dialysis to bypass his kidneys, blood transfusions, immune infusions, and many other medications to help his body fight the infections and resultant inflammation. His parents, Nesilyn and Winston, have been by his side during the entire hospital stay and their faith remains strong in Zane's ability to heal. Their family is undergoing extreme emotional, physical, and financial stress at this time, and we are raising funds to help them with the costs of medical bills, lost work, meals, and maintaining a sense of normalcy for Zane's older brother, Winston "Bam Bam".
