Zander's Mitzvah Project

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page for WE Charity! For my Bar Mitzvah, I am requesting donations to WE Charity instead of gifts.

WE Charity is an international development and youth empowerment organization that means a lot to me. In 2014, I had the opportunity to volunteer on a WE Charity trip in Ragasthan, India. The photo on my page is from a classroom that I was able to visit while I was there.  I then attended WE's Take Action Camp in Ontario, Canada for two consecutive summers where I learned to "be the change you wish to see in the world". Both of these opportunities gave me the chance to learn about different cultures and practice how to positively impact other communities through service projects. I also learned more about global struggles relating to food and water scarcity, discrimination and violence, and lack of access to education. I have come to understand just how fortunate I am to be growing up in United States in my community with access to an amazing education.
 
For my mitzvah project, I am partnering with WE Charity to fundraise and help send a boy through the Ngulot Boys High School in Kenya to get a quality education. Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated and would make a huge difference in a Kenyan student's life.
