One of my best friends Xander got into a motorcycle crash this morning sept. 10th He has brain trauma, trauma to his spleen to his and to his kidney. Two punctured lungs, broken ribs, broken jaw, broken hip a neck fracture and a spinal fracture. He will need surgery on two broken lumbar vertebrae and also on his jaw because it's broken in three places. “Xani” is an amazing person and he always brings a light to a dark room, he is always helping others and giving his time to better himself and everyone around him. Here are some words from his mom “They got him to hold up two fingers when they asked him to. He will be getting that MRI today which will determine quite a few things. One. It will help them to decide if they are going to take the collar off of his neck. They are also trying to decide if the lack of movement in the left side is coming from the fracture and possible ligament damage in the neck or if it is coming from his brain. Which wouldn't be the best outcome. They are talking about taking out his chest tube and also they are talking about taking out the ventilator and putting in a tracheotomy instead. Which does seem more invasive, but has a lot more benefits than being on the ventilator. One. One it will help him to talk when he is ready, and also it will reduce his risks of pneumonia and infections. Now as he is in situation he needs the same help he was always willing to give.
