APPEAL FOR FUNDS FOR ZAMDELA ISLAMIC CENTRE SOUTH AFRICA


This facility in a small township/rural community in South Africa was established around 1993 -1994 after there need was highlighted  by local Muslims in this area  who were predominantly students at the time and used either school classroom  for salaah and prayed at home as there was no facility available.

Masha- Allah With the growing numbers reverting to islam in Zamdela and based on need for educating the children on Islam, Zamdela Islamic centre was set up  as  Esale- sawaab by a  local family who acquired and  renovated a building as an Islamic centre  for the local community.

Part of the building is used for Salaat and madressa  and one section is rented  to generate income for utilities  water and electricity for the mosque. 

Alhamdulillah funds that is generated by  ongoing donors  and rental income is available but is unable to cover the entire programs. 

There are various programmes throughout the year  by and overseen by the Zamdela Islamic Centre Shura/Committee and we are appealing for support for zakaat and sadaqa for needy people in our community for groceries and school fees as well as lillah to run successfully. 

1. Zakaat for poor and needy and destitute 
2. Imaam salary 
3 madressa and Dawah outreach programme
4. Radio Broadcast (Buying a slot for Dawah, Debates, Khutba etc. )
5. Ramadan & Eid Programme

This year,  the COVID Pandemic is making matters worse and many of our brothers and sisters are facing challenges with no income and difficulty during and after Ramadaan expected due to job losses, salary cuts and loss of job opportunities
