The Good Governance Initiative (GGI) is formed by a group of Zambians in North America (USA /Canada), whose focus is to promote good governance in Zambia by supporting new and vibrant leaders with a proven track record in education, social responsibility, justice coupled with exceptional leadership qualities.
The group promotes the rule of law by advocating for freedom of speech, media, prudent electoral monitoring and overall transparency during and after elections.
Our mission is to promote and help usher to office leaders who have a vision that will turn Zambia around and create an economy that will be the envy of the region and the world, and ensure that:

*every father, mother, single mom, widow, or widower, is able to feed, clothe, educate, provide shelter, health care for their family;
*there is availability of expanded training opportunities and jobs for qualified citizens to prevent further country brain-drain;
* hard working farmers are able to sell their produce and get paid in a timely manner;
*significant inroads are made in improving the health system, especially the availability of emergency transportation from the rural areas to hospitals;
*corruption in the public sector is addressed and measures taken to eliminate it;
* there is transparency in government and economic equality;
*social issues such as safe placement of orphans into caring environmnets, freedom of speech and safety in exercising those rights are addressed
