Zambia: buy student desks in Lusaka

I took few months off from a busy parisian worklife, in order to achieve one of my dream: contributing to a project that helps children born under disadvantaged conditions.

I spent 3 months in Zambia, amongst which the 2 last were spent teaching in a local communautary school created more than 20 years ago by Banda Wiseman. This Zambian who worked several years for UNICEF created the "Safe World Trust School" for children from Kindergarten to 7th Grade. I saw true devotion and care for children education, and learnt a lot from this great person who is still teaching. I don't "admire" a lot of people, but he is a model of integrity and selflessness, someone who is part of those unknown heroes.

 

I really would like to provide him financial help for his infrastructure. The student desks were in such a pitiful state that there was always few children who were falling during my classes. Toilets need to be refurbished too. I personally guarantee that all the funds will be 100% used for this school and the needs described above. When I was in Zambia, I personally checked 3 different quotations for the desks, all provided by local shops.

 

Each desk funded fully by 1 donator can have your name on it if you leave the name you want to be engraved! (60€ per desk)

I set a limit of 8k€, but if by miracle we have more, there is also all the classrooms to paint and a lot or repairs all over the school!
