A Better Zamani Dance Space for All

Dear whosevers have the love for art/culture/community/history in dance and able to help!

I'm Roxy, owner of Zamani World Dance, a community shared dance studio where our teachers of all ages 30-80+, all shape and sizes, from different cultures and backgrounds.  Zamani space is dedicated for dance forms rich in art, culture, history, the people and community not necessary popular in media mainstream.

For the love of the art, culture and dance, I've been funding the studio with the help of all the teachers and students for taking classes and renting studio space so that we can have a special home for world dance and oriental dance in Bothell, WA.


The dance space of the studio is currently roughly 370sqft which can handle 6-8 students per class. The amazing landlord just offers the opportunity to add another 370sqft to the space so that we could have a bit bigger class size and have a bit bigger space for students recitals and shows.  As soon as we are done, we will able to add "Classical Indian Dance" to our school schedule is one of the exciting news!!!

The landlord was kind enough to pay for a new dividing wall between the two shops and allow us to make change to the space combining three shops to two. The hardship is we need to pay for demolition of the wall between the two shops and putting in a danceable floor into the currently carpet area of the additional square footage. 



I've done the work to replace the dance floor with my husband, Randy when I could to save money in the past; however, this is a bit bigger job than I could possibly do myself at the moment.

The cost to remove the middle wall with tax will be ~$1850 which is the goal that I hope to get help with.  A stretch goal would be having some money to help with cost to replace the floor to match $1500 or cost to redo flooring for entire space properly for dance would be $4500 plus installation cost.

The demolition will start May 21 and plan for floor replacement done by June 1.

Your help or any idea to help raise extra fund to recover some of the expenses would be greatly appreciated, every dollar as your well wish count toward your love to me, our teachers, students, community and the art.
