Zakkary's NICU Ride

Donation protected
Jason and I lost our son, Zakkary, after having him prematurely on November 25th, 2020. He lived 15 short hours and passed away on the 26th due to a brain bleed. However during those 15 hours, the NICU at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas made it possible for us to get as much time as we could with our son. When we left the hospital, we left with mementos like blankets, little sleepers, a micro preemie pamper, little hats he wore, beads of courage, pictures, footprints, handprints and so much more. Although we wanted to leave that hospital eventually with our precious son, the things that the NICU gave us will forever be something we cherish.

Infant loss is amazingly hard, but the worst part is watching your child in the NICU fight for their life. It's hard on the families, the children and even the staff that work there. We want to try and help ease some of that burden for the families with raising money to purchase things like rockers, mama roos, breast pumps, and all the little mementos we got to leave with.

Jason and I ride motorcycles and we are holding a ride locally on March 20th, of 2021 to raise funds for these lovely people that we consider life savers. To the staff at the NICU under Dr. Sam, you don't know how much you mean to us, we wish we could hug your necks again. I am hoping that on March 26th, Zakkary's original due date, that we can present you with a hug and a check for things you all need to continue to be our Super Heroes.

If you want to show up locally and ride or just show your support in a cage (vehicle), then we would love to have you. If you show up locally, we have raffle tickets and items that will be up for grabs for the winners chosen from that event. We will have shirts for sale during the event and funds will go to the NICU as well. *I am starting this gofundme now so that it has the proper time it needs to reach goals and allow "out of towners" to help as well*

Thank you all for your support, love and prayers. It's never easy to lose someone, but if we come together, the love shared helps overcome the loss.
