Zak and Mikes 3 peak challenge for Blood Cancer UK
Join Mike and I as we take on the ultimate challenge to support Blood Cancer UK! In August we will be embarking on the Three Peak Challenge, where we will be climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales within just 24 hours. With determination and our hearts set on making a difference, Mike and I are aiming to raise vital funds for Blood Cancer UK's groundbreaking research and support services.
When deciding on a charity for our challenge we decided to choose Blood Cancer UK after hearing the story of Dr Conor Jones.
On Wednesday 27th of December Conor Jones lost his battle to blood cancer. He had just turned 31 years old.
After 20 months of an incredibly courageous fight against this horrible disease, there was nothing else that could be done for him.
Conor created a light in this world with his kindness, hard work and passion for animals, the environment and helping others in any way possible. Conor was a gentle, loving and overall remarkable person who’s family and friends couldn't be prouder of. He was an incredible doctor that always put his patients first and always involved himself in research projects to make people's lives better. Conor was also an incredibly talented artist and a positive force behind change for the things he felt so passionately about.
After hearing his story from people close to him we felt it only right to choose this charity for our fundraiser in hopes of making a change so that other people and families won't have to suffer.
Every step we take up those towering summits brings us closer to a world where blood cancer no longer holds power.
We would really appreciate any support for this challenge by donating today to be a part of our journey towards a brighter future for blood cancer patients everywhere. Together, we can climb mountains and conquer cancer!
