Hello! My name is Charlene and I'm raising funds for my 1 year old daughters' surgery. My daughter Zaiell was born on November 2, 2020 weighing in at 9 lbs 10.8 oz. During labor I experienced slight difficulties where her heart rate was dropping and I had no choice but to begin the process of actual labor (pushing her out). While pushing her half way out, the nurses realized that she had gotten stuck in the birth canal and she had turned blue and was not breathing. At that time, they forcefully pulled her out causing damage to her right arm which they later classified it as "Brachial Plexus/Erb's Palsy". Ever since then, I've been taking her on monthly visits to physical, occupational, and chiropractic therapy and doctor appointments - "Nemours Children Hospital". Zaiell have completed phase one of the surgery which it was a success and needs phase two of the surgery where she'll be able to have hand mobility and bend her arm. This surgery is important to me because I would like for Zaiell to have a bright future and have confidence in any and everything she does. Zaiell is very smart for her age which she counts from 1-3 and says from A-D. She's very alert and loves to laugh. She is such a bundle of joy. All funds collected will be used entirely to the second phase of the surgery and any medical instruments needed after. We appreciate your caring thoughts and donations!
