So yesterday evening (Saturday 6/9/25) my parents dog (Ralphie) had a serious accident out on his walk, which meant he was rushed to an out of hours vets where he’s had X-rays done which are showing he has a serious fracture on his elbow which means he will either need a big rebuild or leg amputated. So far the vets have said it’s going to cost £3.5k to keep him at the vets until Monday for his out of hours care and sedation/ pain relief . Then come Monday Ralphie will be taken back to his original vets where we can hopefully make a plan moving forwards. Either option is going to be highly expensive whichever route we go down, It would be be greatly appreciated if people could help donate toward Ralphie's Road to recovery ❤️ Even if you can just donate a couple of quid, every little helps and will make things a lot less stressful for the family at this hard time.
8/9/25- *update* Ralphie has been moved to Poole to see a specialist surgeon. He’s had Ct scans this morning which show he has a Y fracture, the surgeon has operated and done this kind of surgery before which was successful, so nice to hear some positive news. If all equipment is available today E.g (nuts, bolts, screws, plates) then surgery may go ahead today.
