Help Zahra get her life back!

The day was Friday Nov 20th 2015, when at the age of 18, my daughter, Zahra, experienced a devastating psychotic break from smoking marijuana. This included hallucinations, anxiety, depression & suicidal behavior. It has kept her in hell for the past 7 years because she was erroneously put on antipsychotic medication for schizophrenia, which she does not have. She suffered, like many young people who start smoking pot in their teens, cannabis induced psychosis. The level of care she required led to me losing my job, which I loved, & I have cared for her full time ever since. It also caused her father (Shaka Satori), who was newly remarried & living 3,000 miles away, to move back to California & work two full-time jobs to help us all get through it financially, ultimately costing him his marriage. All of this was the result from my daughter smoking weed in her teens which she had been doing for two years prior unbeknownst us (her parents). Prior to this tragedy, Zahra was the ideal teenage girl, smart, mild mannered, very respectful, success oriented, carried herself as a young lady at all times & good at avoiding the mistakes she witnessed made by her peers. She never got into any trouble at home or school, ever. She graduated from Culver City high that year, was working, planned to attend college in Jan 2016 & was looking forward to starting the audition process for the next cycle of America's Next Top model.

With the teenage brain not yet fully mature, Cannabis Induced Psychosis (which my daughter suffered) is becoming more & more prevalent. As with my daughter, these frightened teens, in mental crisis, typically end up in the hospital on a 5150 psych hold, misdiagnosed as bipolar or schizophrenic, placed on mind numbing antipsychotic medications & told they will be on these drugs forever. We understand why so many just give up, choosing to stay on the medication for the rest of their lives, accepting a lesser quality of life, but we just can't give up, our daughter will live a full life, free of the mental & emotional hell that comes with the drugs they have her on. Zahra will be successful in whatever way success is defined by her, have a social life again, live the young adult life that she lost & has more than earned, making this 7 year hell worth it.

For the past six years our family has tried everything from herbal remedies to expensive therapists to help safely wean our daughter off these antipsychotic drugs & their devastating side effects. This vicious cycle & the potential for greater long term damage by the medication compelled us to expand our research. After praying incessantly & more research, we were led to Alternative To Meds Center, a facility that specializes in assisting people in getting off antipsychotic meds, with a great track record helping young people with Cannabis Induced Psychosis reclaim their lives. In fact, their highest success rate by far has been with assisting those who suffer from CIP. The catch is, the cost is way beyond what normal working families can afford, especially after six years of related hardships. The cost for this two month program is $65,000 & her medical insurance does not cover it, very few PPO's do.

This 7 year hell for Zahra has been physically, mentally, and emotionally devastating, yet she hasn't given up on herself. We are humbly asking for your help. Your donation can make her dream of a normal life a reality. She is a very deserving young lady. Every dollar donated brings her one step closer to being herself again, living a normal life again. We thank you for even caring enough to read our story. May God bless you, & may your family never go through anything like this...

We have attached a video of just one of the many success stories from a person who was given their life back by this center.
Feel free to share this link with anyone you believe might be moved by her story and interested in donating. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and she deserves to stand in that light.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God Bless!
