On January 31, 2017, Zahara was admitted to the hospital for what we thought was a "simple cold". We found out that Zahara has a very rare heart defect called a "congenital malposition of the subclavian artery". Though we have health insurance, our health insurance does not cover all the costs for our daughter. Zahara's journey will still continue with outpatient care, cardiologist visits, medication, and prayer.
