Help Family Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
My name is Lisa. My brother-in-law Johnny Barrett's beautiful family home, where he lived for over 40 year, house burned down early this morning in Patchogue, NY (it was on News 12). Four people lost their home & everything they own. One person is in a coma on life support with severe burns to her face & body. And unfortunately the dog, Lulu, did not make it.
There isn't any homeowner's insurance. The house was still in my late mother-in-law's name & we were in the process of trying to transfer over to her children. Johnny was his mom's caregiver after his dad died years ago & she lived until 99 years old under his care.
Here's the link for the News 12 story. https://longisland.news12.com/fire-rips-through-patchogue-home
We are trying to raise money to be able to get them into another place to live and also to replace necessary items such as clothing, food, etc. Johnny is always willing to help any one and now he needs help. Please donate if you can, even if just $5. Please keep Sondra in your prayers as she tries to recover from her burns.
If you live locally to the Patchogue area and would like to donate items such as basic necessities (toiletries, food, clothing), please reach out to me.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Share please as well. And keep prayers coming for Sondra.
2/26 EDIT TO ADD: Sondra unfortunately passed away from her injuries on February 25th. We are so heartbroken.
