On Thursday, May 26, 2016, Zack was involved in a car accident on 580 in Livermore. He was trapped under a big rig and the local fire department had to use the jaws of life to get him out.

Zack suffered massive head trauma among other injuries. Doctors were not sure if Zack would survive. The next 48 hours were crucial. On Saturday morning, Zack's doctors were optimistic that he would survive. His brain pressure had come down to close to normal.

The road to recovery is going to be long, but for those who know Zack, you know he is a fighter and stubborn. He won't give up. This road is also going to be expensive. We have started this fund to alleviate the stress of finances so that all energy can be focused on helping get Zack healthy and back on his feet.
