Zack’s recovery fund and dream met

Donation protected
On Sunday June 2 2019, Zack got up to work on his grandpas old truck. His father was at work, his mother was inside with the young kids. Zack was attempting to roll his truck out of the garage to work on it in the driveway. He had placed blocks in front of the tires, but when the truck rolled out of the garage it jumped the blocks. Zack, in a panic, not wanting to disappoint his father grabbed the block and ran to the front of the truck to try to stop it. He put his body in front of the truck where he end up getting crushed between his truck and his father's truck that was parked in front of the driveway. He was pinned in between the vehicles for over a minute. Thank God for their neighbor who just happened to be on the side of his house. He heard the impact, and then a minute later a faint cry for help. Their neighbor was able to get Zack unpinned and they called 911. Zach was rushed by ambulance to Sutter Roseville medical center. Zach had to be taken into emergency surgery to stop some internal bleeding, and place A-line into his bladder for drainage. Once they got him stabilized, they were able to assess all of his injuries. From the accident Zack ended up with a broken pelvis in 3 spots, a severed urethra, and muscle damage to his abdomen. Zack will be in a wheel chair for 8 to 10 months minimum, and will need 1 or 2 more surgeries to fix the damage that was done by the broken pelvis.

The backstory on the truck ...

In April of 2015 zack lost his papa suddenly, to a massive heart attack. Zack's papa bought the truck when he was 17. Zack always used to joke with his papa that when he passed away that truck was his. Just a little joke between a papa and a grandson. When he passed away,  Zack didn't want anything to do with the truck because of his guilt. I sat Zack down and had a long talk about life. From that day on, Zack has made it his dream to fix this truck in memory of his papa, that they had planned to do together. Anybody who knows Zack has seen his determination and dedication to this truck . This boy would do whatever he could to make money to put into this truck. Everything from mowing lawns, washing car, raking leaves.....For the last 2 years hes tried to make it to car show called midnight mass. Last year we tried to make it but the goal was to far out a reach. Over the last year, all this kid has done is tried to make money doing what every could, and has worked on this truck non stop. With his goal of making it this year to the car show for his papa. The last 4 and a 1/2 months Zack has been working with his father at his job, putting every cent into the truck.

Zack will be unable to do any work on his truck. All Zack could think about while they were waiting for the ambulance was that he was not going to make it to the show.. His dad was able to get to the house before he was taken by ambulance. His father in a state of panic promised him that they would still make it. Zack's father has people to help with the labor, but they are a large family and have a full plate, and money is tight.

Between medical expenses and trying to fulfill his dream during such a tragic time, we would appreciate anything. Even $1 moves us toward our goal.

Thank you all ! Keep praying for healing for Zack.
