Zackery Umland Cancer Fundraiser

My Husband, Zackery was officially diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of September. I found a black splotch on top of his head, at the end of July, and urged him to get it checked.

Dermatologist biopsied it and it came back as Malanoma.

Zack's 1st surgery was Nov. 15th. They removed the Malanoma on top of his head and some lymph nodes that the doctor was concerned about. This is where we found out that the Malanoma has now spread to his lymph nodes. 4 of the 2 lymph nodes, that were taken out, had cancerous tumors in them.

His 2nd surgery is Dec. 10th. They will be taking out more lymph nodes.

The future holds more surgery, chemo, injections & pills.

Needless to say, it's been an emotional roller coaster.

This $ will go towards bills and trying to make ends meet.

Update: 12/10/2021

Zackery's 2nd surgery went well. They went into the left side of his neck again and removed a bunch more lymph nodes. He's much more upbeat than he was after his first surgery.

Update: 12/22/2021

Well, this surgery was coupled with an infection. But we got it drained today. Lots of pain & puss. But they told us they took out 55 lymph nodes after his second surgery! NONE WERE CANCEROUS! NONE!

Update: 1/24/2022

Zackery starts his first round of Immune Therapy tomorrow. This will happen every 4 weeks for a year. Wish us luck!

Update: 1/28/2022

The only symptoms he has complained about has been feeling tired and having some body aches. Otherwise, he's doing well! Unfortunately, the New Year means a new deductible that we have to meet...
