Zack Was God’s Answer—Now He Needs One Himself
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sheri, and I’m a single mom from Langley, BC. After an 18-year marriage, I thought I’d never have children. I got a cat—Zack—to fill that quiet space in my heart. He’s been my best friend ever since.
Zack is an extraordinary cat. I taught him to roll over, high-five, and do lots of other fun tricks. He’s even been on road trips all over British Columbia with me. He’s more like a little person than a pet—loving, loyal, and full of personality.
Then, life surprised me. At nearly 40, I found myself pregnant. Today, I have two beautiful daughters. One of them is autistic, and Zack has become her emotional support animal. He brings her peace, comfort, and joy every single day.
But now, Zack is injured. He jumped the wrong way and tore a ligament in his knee (the animal version of an ACL tear). He’s in pain and struggling to move. The good news is that a kind vet at Avon Animal Hospital in Surrey, BC is willing to perform the surgery. The heartbreaking part? I can’t afford it.
As a single mom on disability, caring for a special needs child, I simply don’t have the funds to cover this unexpected emergency. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Zack means the world to us. He’s not just a pet—he’s family. He’s my daughter’s best friend, and the thought of losing him over a treatable injury is unbearable.
If you can donate, even a small amount, it would mean everything to us. Every dollar brings us closer to getting Zack the care he needs to walk and play again.
Thank you so much for reading and for your kindness.
With gratitude,
Sheri, Zack, and family
