Zach's road to recovery.
On February 6th my 19 year old step-brother suffered a stroke. He spent two weeks in Portland at Providence St Vincent where he under went an eight hour surgery to allow the brain to swell. Surgery was a success and now he is on his way to recovery. On Feb 20th he was transported back to Providence in Medford and is undergoing extensive physical, occupational and speech therapy. He is in good spirits and we are looking at probably having him home sometime this month, where he will continue outpatient therapy. He will have a lengthy recovery and will not be able to return to work for sometime. Although Zach worries about his living expenses and bills, he has a really good attitude and we know he will recover to his fullest.
Zach has always been very active and has a love for the wilderness. We look forward to his recovery and back to hunting, fishing, gold mining and of course also back at work.
Along with prayers for a speeding recovery any little bit will help.
