Help LCpl Boyd, Injured US Marine
This past Saturday, January 20th, Zach Boyd fell victim to a gunshot wound to the head. Zach is a U.S. Marine, and serves as a Communications Specialist for Combat Logistics Battalion 453 in Aurora, Colorado. He is currently in intensive care at a local hospital. His family lives in Colorado Springs, and have been staying in a hotel in close proximity to the hospital and have been required to spend time away from work to be with their son. The financial impact this will have is unclear, but it will be a burden. As his friends, and as his community, we want to do as much as we can to help out. The last thing they need to be worrying about right now is money, any help to alleviate that stress would be greatly appreciated.
Zach Boyd was found in his house Saturday afternoon with a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to Denver Health ER and immediately taken to the neurosurgery team. After several hours in surgery, he was released to the ICU. The current official report is the gunshot wound appears to be a accidental. He is currently in a coma, however his vitals look good, he is responsive to external stimuli. We remain hopeful, any positive thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
