My little brother, Zachary (Zak) Whitman, died unexpectedly in a accident on Sunday, July 22, 2018 in International Falls, MN. He left behind three little girls, who were his whole world. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Even though Zak struggled with his health for all of his adult life, he loved to be outdoors -- in the woods or on the lake. Being so young, and juggling the responsibilities of single fatherhood, he had not prepared to leave this world early. I suppose no one does.
While it is still difficult to put into words the confusion and grief following his sudden death, one thing is simple and clear -- dying is expensive. Our mom is shouldering the sadness and service planning with amazing stoicism, as she does. It isn't easy to ask for help, but here I am. Please contribute whatever you can: $100 or $10.
