Hi, my name is Nichole Hardy, I am fundraising to help my sister (Tammy Woolley) lay her only son to rest. This is the second child out of three children that my sister has had to lay to rest. From personal experience, no mother should ever have to lay her child to rest, let alone two of them. My sister's oldest daughter, Amanda Davis, passed away from a strong and long fight with cancer (neurofibromatosis). Zachary and his other sister Brit were close with Amanda and I do believe that this loss in Zachary's life really saddened his soul. They were teenagers when she passed away and Zach took it very hard. From there he seemed to struggle with depression and never seemed to stay on the right path. Zach also lost his grandmother, (my mother) to cancer several years later, and he was very close with her as well.
Zachary was a loving father of two kids, Kole and Aaliyah. Despite his struggles with homelessness, depression, and other challenges, he never let them define him. Instead, he was known for his generosity and his willingness to help those in need. He was always ready to give his last to someone else, even if it meant he would have to go without. He had his son Kole and that completely brought the brightest of light into Zachary's life. He loves his son so much. He loves his daughter Aaliyah so much, who just stole any piece Zach had left of his heart. Those children were the greatest joy he ever experienced in his life. He loved them dearly and he tried as hard as he could to get better for them. Zachary was not always depressed, and when he was feeling great he just shinned. He was so smart and he was one of the hardest workers I have ever met in my life. He would outwork anyone! His passion was family, working out in the yard, and doing landscaping and he was so good at it! He was excited to teach his son things and do "man" stuff with him. He was also excited to scare away his daughter's first boyfriend and give her all the love a girl needs from her daddy.
Sadly on April 12th, 2023, his depression got the best of him and Zachary took his own life. Please help my sister who doesn't have much, put her only son to rest, and finally give him the peace that he has been seeking for a very long time now and so deserved to have.
As we mourn his passing, we are also faced the harsh reality of life without him. His children are left without a father, and as his family, we are left to pick up the pieces. We understand that it's going to be a long road ahead, and we need all the help we can get.
This is why we are reaching out to the community for support. We are asking people to donate not just because of Zachary's story, but because it would help ease the pain and burden of those he left behind. Those of you reading this who have experienced the loss of a loved one and hopelessness can identify with our current emotional state. We believe in our hearts that Zachary would have wanted his children to have a better life, and we as his family are determined to honor his memory by making sure that we do everything possible including reaching out to our community for assistance to put him to rest.
In the end, we don't want Zachary's legacy to be defined by his struggles, but by his kindness and generosity. His family and friends will never forget the impact he had on our lives, and we will always cherish the memories we shared with him. We love him dearly and will miss him so much.
Thank you all. Anything you can do will help her.
