Zachary’s fight against brain cancer

Zachary, our youngest who is 14 months old, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor suspected to be a medulloblastoma. He had surgery 4/8 to remove the tumor, but some had already spread to his spine and that could not be surgically removed. We don’t have all of the results yet, but know that he will need chemo starting in the next few weeks.

He is being treated at UVA, which is about an hour and a half from our home. We don’t have all of the details, but know that this process will involve a fair amount of travel and lodging expenses. Right now our biggest concern is making sure that Laura/mom is able to miss work when needed to be there for Zach during his treatment. Otherwise, her clinic might not be able to stay open. This means we need to humbly ask for help to cover those work absences and travel expenses, along with any other surprises along the way.
