Hi, my name is Shelley Thaiday and I have started this fundraiser to assist my sister in law Noreena Thaiday and her family while they navigate through a challenging life event.

My nephew Zachariah has recently been diagnosed with the Dilated Cardiomyopathy, which is a disease affecting the heart muscle. The heart is unable to squeeze efficiently, reducing the amount of blood that is pumped throughout his body.

He is now on 15 different medications daily and requires oxygen at night just to try and keep him stable. This will require ongoing medical appointments with various specialists to monitor him.

This means his mother Noreena hasn't been able to work since his diagnosis and since she is a single parent with other children to support, this has put a huge strain on their family financially. And it is not known at this stage when she might be able to work again.

Funds raised will go towards Zachy's medications, getting him around for his many appointments and assisting the family with additional day-to-day expenses that will be incurred.

Any help would be greatly appreciated to support the family during this time.
