Hello everyone,

I’m Julie Horowitz, Zach’s adopted sister. My parents welcomed Zach into our home when he was 17 and he’s been a part of our entire extended family ever since.

A year ago, when his own sister, Alison, suffered a devastating stroke, Zach moved to Hemet to be a primary caregiver alongside her husband. Alison requires 24 hour care and Zach stepped up like most people wouldn’t. This devotion to her care came with a lot of sacrifices including giving up gainful employment and leaving his LA life, family and friends.

On May 1st, Zach suffered a major heart attack requiring immediate double bypass surgery. He’s come out with a bill of good health, but unfortunately also a heap of medical bills. Zach faces a long recovery and surgical post-care is critical. He has no health insurance and no way to cover the lengthy follow-up care and rehabilitation that will begin next week. Any help you can give toward this will be greatly appreciated!
