Please help support my son in this time of crisis.
On Friday, May 24th, 2024 Zach suffered from a sudden devastating illness caused by a dissection in his aorta artery. He is in ICU at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh being treated by a specialized team of surgeons. Zach has had numerous surgeries and despite on-going set-backs, continues to fight for his life. We call him our Rambo Warrior for good reason. Everyday we are inspired by his determination to overcome this physical crisis.
Zach is the father of two young daughters who miss their daddy very much. His wife, Angela (another true warrior) keeps his focus on fighting so that he can return home to his family. Unfortunately, Zach has a very long road to recovery ahead of him.
Zach is originally from Canada and although he is in hospital in Edinburgh, he now lives in Glasgow. Angela travels between the two cities every day to be with him. The loss of wages, the price of commuting, the cost of a prosthetic leg, plus the need for intensive rehabilitation is physically, emotionally and financially daunting.
I am asking friends and family to share this fundraiser on every social media platform, club/church affiliation, school networks etc. to spread the word that Zach and his family need support.
Any assistance you can provide will help relieve financial stress so that Zach can put all his energy into healing.
