Hamilton Family

Hello Everyone,

My name is Zachariah Hamilton. I am a 24 year old electical apprentice at Hoekstra Electric. I was raised by my mother Barbara Hamilton and my aunt Karen Wentzel.

4 years ago my mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer (stage 4). We were presented with two options, radiation and chemo. It was our hope to aggressivly fight/treat her cancer but unfortunately niether option worked for her.

Throughout the whole treatment and recovery process my mom stayed strong and made sure that my younger brother Ethan and myself were taken care of, even if that meant putting our needs in front of her own.

Ethan (My brother) is a high functioning autistic man who struggles with social interaction and taking care of himself. Even with that my mom always made sure he was happy and cared for. On Janurary 17th Barb lost her battle with cancer and moved on to a life without pain and suffering.

She left behind my brother, two daughters, myself and many others that she loved and cared for.

On September 8th my sister Catherine McFarland also passed away from an unforseen illness.

Catherine left behind her son and daughter. I am now taking on the role of caregiver for Catherine's son as well who is also autistic.

I am doing my best to fulfill the dreams of both my mother and catherine in raising these boys.

I know the special care that each of these boys need on a daily bases, however I am struggling from a financial standpoint. With your support I can continue on the dream that my mother and sister had for there sons.
