Help Zach Out of the Dark

Hello, my name is Mark Kroft and I'm setting up this fundraiser for my nephew Zach Gordon. Zach is the only child of my sister Sherry Kroft and Wayne Woodward. While losing both parents at a young age was devastating enough, Zach has been plagued with health problems that continually pile up on other (Type 1 Diabetes, gastronomical and circulatory issues) and now, he has taken a fall and is now legally blind. Zach is 32 years old and resides in Winnipeg, MB due to a shortage in medical specialists in his hometown (Medicine Hat, AB). Though he has faced his challenges with adversity, his positive attitude has helped him move past his challenges. With our help, he can move forward to overcome one of his biggest challenges yet - to live in a world without sight.

Zach has worn many hats over the years. He has been a plumber's apprentice, clothier, jeweler, school bus driver and now works remotely as a customer service specialist for ProNexus Solutions which, due to his condition is in question now without outside help. I can say personally and with pride that Zach's work with me at Tip Top Tailors was exemplary. Always wanting to learn, eager to help customers and was instrumental for our increases in business. As much as he learned from me, I took away many life lessons from him as well.

Zach is faced with some of the biggest challenges that life has to offer. I am hoping we can band together and help mitigate this situation where he can survive and catch his breath while adjusting to his condition. He will bounce back! This man's resilience and tenacity has been proven over and over again. All he needs is some help while he navigates future support with his social worker and gets adjusted.

This fundraiser is a temporary solution to a long term lifestyle adjustment. Any and all donations are welcome. Thank you for your consideration and compassion.
