Beloved cat needs extensive dental treatment

Hi, my name is Lisa and I am fundraising for my dear friend Samantha and her cat Zac. Samantha shared with me yesterday the extensive and expensive dental care Zac needs that is required for his care and well-being. Samantha has two cats and spends time with them every day.

She shared with me that while she snuggled with Zac, she looked into his eyes and knew something was wrong and that's when she booked the veterinarian appointment. She was lucky to get an appointment within the hour.

During the visit, the vet was able to open Zac's mouth and recognized the degree of dental decay in the back of his mouth. Samantha was heartbroken while viewing the amount of decay. The vet was very sympathetic and wanted to assure Samantha not to feel guilty because there was no way to notice this unless professionally examined.

Samantha started some of the initial process with blood work. The veterinary staff submitted an estimate for the work which is close to $2500+ and could change if additional services are required.

Samantha shared this situation with me and I suggested that perhaps the GoFundMe platform might be a helpful way to get the support she needs to take care of her little boy Zac. I've known Samantha for many years and she has been a refuge for stray and abandoned cats helping them find forever homes. Additionally, she has many local families who request her cat-sitting services.
