Zac Peterson's Medical Expense Fund

Hello loved ones of the Peterson Family. Zac went 3/3 on his bulls at Thief River Falls, MN PBR the weekend of July 20-21. On the drive home, he started getting sharp pains in his right leg & within 2-3 mins it was swollen and rock hard. This was confusing as Zac didn't recall getting injured on his bull. Him and Cassidy rushed to Devils Lake’s ER where they found he was bleeding internally from his thigh ripping open down the middle. He was then life flighted to Grand Forks, ND. This type of muscle can't be stitched back together and heals by cleaning it out, stopping the bleeding and then scar tissue is what will heal it slowly back together. Zac in still in the ICU being closely monitored. He has a 2 inch wide incision running from his hip to his knee with a wound vac drain, it's stuffed with sponge and wrapped.
Since being at Grand Forks, they have now underwent 4 surgeries to begin the process of closing the wound and get him back up and walking. He's gone unresponsive once after surgery and is still at high risk of infection and numerous other accompanying risks. He has 3 surgeries scheduled this upcoming week and are praying for the best. As of now, praise God, the muscle is still active and alive with no sign of infection. There is still a long road ahead.
