Help Zachary Reap the Harvest as the Lord Leads

Introduction

Hi I'm Zac, and my goal is to reach those who have not heard the gospel. After I complete training and outreach in the field I am hoping to transition to full-time missions (possibly in Asia). The Impetus

About a year ago I found myself wondering what the future would be like for me. I was lost and unsure of what God wanted to do in my life. As I continued to reflect on this, I came to the conclusion that God's will for me is to become a missionary. He has blessed me with a passion for spreading the gospel of Christ, an affinity for language, and an interest in foreign culture. Once I realized that, I finally had peace regarding the future, and now I am devoted to fulfilling His perfect plan. In preparation for the trip I will be spending time with God in the word, evangelizing, fellowshipping with other Christians, and practicing French. I'm trusting that the Lord will provide through people like you or through other means if it is His will.

 

Basis in Scripture

Here are some scriptures to consider as you decide whether or not it is right for you to give.

 

Romans 10:14-15

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

 

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,

Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

 

Romans 15:20-21

And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written:

 

“To whom He was not announced, they shall see;

And those who have not heard shall understand.”

 

Matthew 9:37-38

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

 

Matthew 28:19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

 

John 4:35-36

Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

 

2 Corinthians 9:6-7

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
