Unexpected Family Emergency

If there was another way around this, I wouldn’t be here writing this right now so please bear with me. Unfortunately, my brother, sister-in-law, and nieces need all of the help that they can get right now. For the past 4 years they’ve been renting the home directly behind ours and it’s been wonderful having them so close by. However, from one day to the next the landlord requested the property back from them due to his own needs leaving them with very little time to find a new home for a family of 8 and 3 dogs!

By the grace of God, they were able to find a home, however the rent is almost DOUBLE what they were paying and with extremely strict policies. With help from family they were able to come up with the very steep deposit and fees on such short notice. Whew, we thought it all worked out….think again…

Just a few days after they received the keys my sister-in-law was fired from her longtime job leaving them with only one income. The first month's rent is due August 1st and we don’t have anywhere else to pull the funds from at the moment. This is a complete last resort and honestly a bit humiliating after how generous everyone was after the passing of our dad in February.

I mean, is there anything else that 2024 could possibly throw at our family? I’m praying not! ☹️ My sister-in-law, Yani, is the most generous person. Always giving to those, even when she doesn’t have much herself. They always do their best to make ends meet and give the girls a great life to the best of their abilities, but things do happen and now they’re really struggling and there’s no way out. I know that many others are struggling as well, like SO many, so any little bit helps dig them out of this hole. We’re only asking for assistance to cover the first month so my sister in law can get back on her feet.
