Officer needs assistance

Patrolman Christopher Mackie has been with the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department since 2020. He began his career with Wilkes Barre Township Police as a part-time officer and became a full-time department member in 2022. If you are a fan of the show Live PD, you may have seen him during an active shooter situation in our town on January 09, 2023.

During his time with us, he has had a chronic medical condition that flared up occasionally, causing him to miss work.

With the limited time working as a full-time officer, he did not earn a lot of sick or vacation time. What little time he had earned was used up while receiving treatments for his chronic condition.

Christopher had surgery that made him unable to work for an extended period. He is an avid fitness enthusiast who went from bench pressing over 300 pounds, taking ju-jitsu classes three times a week, going to the gym five days a week, and eating exceptionally healthy to being bedridden and unable to eat in less than two months.

We ask you to help him with whatever you can afford to donate to help him during his recovery time.
