Over 1.5 million people in Jamaica have been affected by Hurricane Melissa. Many have no food, water, or shelter, and it is our mission as the Black Diamonds to support Jamaica.

The Black Diamonds Academic Success Program is located in Peekskill, New York, led by Founder and CEO, Mr. Martin McDonald.

The mission of BDAS is to help young men of color graduate from high school on time and prepare them for life after high school. This is done through mentorship and college and career exploration and by creating opportunities for our members to volunteer and be civically engaged.

The Black Diamonds have partnered with Mr. Peter Murdock, owner of Jamaican restaurant, Cravin’ Jamaican Cuisine located in Ossining, New York, making all of this possible.

Three men (Aaron Reid, Miles Johnson, and Zion Toussaint) have decided to make a food/donation drive for Jamaica because they either have family there or are also from the Caribbean. The donations from this drive will go directly to local churches in Jamaica that are in need of more food and supplies. Money that is donated here will be used to buy more food and supplies that will be shipped to Jamaica.
