On March 30th, our lives changed forever when doctors discovered that my mom had a brain tumor. Since then, she has undergone three brain surgeries, each one a fight for her health and her future. Unfortunately, the tumor has grown much faster than expected, and now she needs a fourth surgery.

During her last operations, the doctors were unable to remove the entire tumor because of its location, which made the procedure too risky. However, because of the tumor’s rapid growth, the doctors must go back in and attempt to remove as much as possible.

This journey has taken a huge toll on my mom’s health. The tumor has caused serious complications—her vision has been affected, her balance is unsteady which often leads to falls, and she suffers from painful migraines. Because of this, she has been unable to work since March and we don’t know when she’ll be able to return.

The medical bills from her previous surgeries have already been overwhelming, and the cost of another surgery is more than we can handle on our own. We are asking for your kindness and generosity to help us cover the expenses for her past treatments and her upcoming surgery.

El 30 de marzo, nuestras vidas cambiaron para siempre cuando los médicos descubrieron que mi madre tenía un tumor cerebral. Desde entonces, se ha sometido con valentía a tres cirugías cerebrales, cada una una lucha por su salud y su futuro. Desafortunadamente, el tumor ha crecido mucho más rápido de lo esperado y ahora necesita una cuarta cirugía.

Durante su última operación, los médicos no pudieron extirpar todo el tumor debido a su ubicación, lo que hizo que el procedimiento fuera demasiado arriesgado. Sin embargo, debido al rápido crecimiento del tumor, los médicos deben volver a operar e intentar extirpar la mayor cantidad posible.

Esta experiencia ha afectado enormemente la salud de mi madre. El tumor le ha causado graves complicaciones: ha afectado su visión, tiene un equilibrio inestable que a menudo le provoca caídas, y sufre de dolorosas migrañas. Debido a esto, no ha podido trabajar desde marzo y no sabemos cuándo podrá regresar.

Las facturas médicas de sus cirugías anteriores ya han sido abrumadoras, y el costo de otra cirugía es más de lo que podemos afrontar por nuestra cuenta. Les pedimos su amabilidad y generosidad para ayudarnos a cubrir los gastos de sus tratamientos anteriores y su próxima cirugía.
