Sam & I are looking for some help from friends/family.. Blu is needing major surgery to fix BOTH of her hind legs. She currently isn't able to put pressure on either back leg and she might also have some nerve damage.   A little back story: I got Blu as a rescue when she was about 8 weeks old.  When she was a puppy, she had a liver/stomach issue where she needed to be on certain food & meds.  After all that cleared up, she was good to go and completely healthy. She's about 80lbs and her legs are similar to a Great Dane. [With how long they are, how she runs, and the problems arising]  When she hit about a year and a half or so, she started to have problems in her left hind leg. Come to find out, it was a major tear from running too hard when she played. [She never showed signs of pain other than a minor limp here and there] After we noticed the limp wasn't just from her playing too hard.. We scheduled a TPLO of her left back leg. Thursday 8/6/20 she over compensated on her right back leg and tore those ligaments almost to shreds.  Yesterday 8/7, she was taken to the ER where she had to be sedated in order to express her bladder since she hasn't gone to the bathroom due to not being able to balance herself.  Right now, we are using a sling (a towel around her stomach), to do a wheelbarrow effect and help her balance on her front legs to hopefully go to the bathroom by herself when the meds the vet gave start working through her system.  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this medical rollercoaster for Blu & with Blu!
